Adult & Parent Learn to Swim

Program Notice: We highly encourage parents and adults to learn! Based on the volume of applications, we create dedicated adult teaching groups to ensure you receive the precise instruction you need in a mature environment.

It is never too late to master the water. We follow a highly structured approach to help adults develop and hone their skills, transitioning safely from water confidence to full competitive fitness. Whether you are stepping into the pool for the very first time to conquer water anxiety, or looking to refine your technique to keep up with your children, our adult-focused groups provide a zero-pressure, highly supportive pathway to success.

Parent Beginners

Taking place in the shallow end, these stages focus on overcoming water anxiety, mastering fundamental buoyancy, and establishing the basic building blocks of movement.

Parent Kick Development

Moving into deeper water, this stage focuses heavily on leg mechanics and core stability to build cardiovascular endurance.

Parent Stroke Development

The final step before transferring to our Masters Squad. Here, you will perfect full stroke coordination across Front Crawl, Backstroke, and Breaststroke.

Stroke Guides

Freestyle

Freestyle, or front crawl, is the fastest and most efficient swim stroke. The key to a powerful freestyle is a combination of a streamlined body position, a strong flutter kick, and a rhythmic breathing pattern. Focus on high-elbow catch during the pull phase to maximize propulsion.

Backstroke

Backstroke is unique as it's the only stroke swum on the back. Maintain a flat, horizontal body position with your hips near the surface. Your arms should recover straight out of the water, entering pinky-first, and pulling in a semi-circular path.

Breaststroke

Breaststroke is a powerful and technical stroke. The rhythm is crucial: "Pull, Breathe, Kick, Glide." Start in a streamlined glide position. Perform a heart-shaped pull with both arms, lifting your head to breathe at the end of the pull.

Butterfly

The butterfly is a challenging but rewarding stroke, known for its simultaneous arm movement and dolphin kick. Both arms pull down through the water together and recover over the surface. The body moves in a wave-like motion.
